My Hawai‘i Story Project 2010

Aloha “My Hawai‘i” student authors and teachers,

The staff and volunteers at the Hawai‘i Conservation Alliance Foundation and the Pacific Writers’ Connection wish to extend our appreciation for your participation in the My Hawaii Story Project. We received 491 entries this year – the most entries in the contest's history! Our dedicated team of reviewers again found it extremely challenging to choose only 25 for publication in this year’s Anthology.

To all students who participated, mahalo for sharing your creativity with us and we encourage you to continue writing about your connection to, exploration, and understanding of Hawai‘i’s environment. Mahalo also to parents and teachers for their invaluable support. To the 25 students whose poems, stories, and essays are final selections, we offer you our congratulations!
