The My Hawai‘i partners invited all middle school students in the state to participate in the 8th annual My Hawai‘i Story Project, an environmental writing contest for students in Hawai‘i. Students were invited to submit their best story or poem that reflected this year’s theme:

Navigating Change

What can we learn from the past – and kūpuna – about protecting the environment for the future?

What can you do to help Hawaiʻi’s plants and animals survive in a changing world?
