Sponsorship Opportunities
An Invitation – 2023 Hawaiʻi Conservation Conference Sponsorship Opportunities
The Hawaiʻi Conservation Alliance Foundation (Alliance Foundation) is excited to offer multiple sponsorship opportunities for the 2023 Hawaiʻi Conservation Conference. The conference is attended by over 1,200 conservation professionals from across the Hawaiian archipelago and features cutting edge research, as well as innovative tools and approaches for addressing critical island conservation needs.
All sponsors receive recognition on the Conference website and in plenary session remarks, 2 full Conference registrations, and an exhibitor booth. Additional benefits are customized to the sponsorship type. We are ready to work with potential sponsors to design sponsorship and recognition that best fits our shared goals and needs.
Please feel free to contact Emma Anders, Hawaiʻi Conservation Alliance Foundation Executive Director, at director@hawaiiconservation.org or 808-895-8954 with any questions.

POSTER RECEPTION
Wednesday June 28, 2023 at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center
As we return to an in-person Conference, our planning team made the deliberate choice to host paper posters rather than electronic posters to encourage increased interactions between conference attendees. Survey responses from past Conferences indicate that our audience puts high value on opportunities to interact with presenters and other attendees. A poster reception, including pupu and a no-host bar, is an effective and fun way to encourage exchanges between our conservation community.
CLOSING RECEPTION
Thursday June 29, 2023 at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center
This reception will celebrate 30 years of the Hawaiʻi Conservation Conference while focusing on the critical work yet to be done. This Conference brings together students, researchers, managers, and community leaders to advance mālama ʻāina in Hawaiʻi. The closing reception will emphasize the value of conservation work for our human and ecological communities, celebrate those who do the work, and encourage continued and increased commitment. It will include pupu and a no-host bar, live music, and presentation of student awards.
$15,000
TRACK SPONSOR (6 Opportunities)
The conference tracks are a unique platform for your product or service to be recognized by environmentally minded consumers and natural resource professionals including educators and students. A track includes (4) 2-hour sessions (may include symposia, forums, workshops, and/or oral presentation sessions). The 2023 tracks include:
-
- Managing Conservation Reliant Species into the Future
- Understanding and Addressing Longstanding Problems and Needs
- Opportunities for Conservation Collaboration Across Sectors
- Advancement in Conservation Research and Management
- Growing the Workforce of the Future through Education and Capacity Building
- Collaborative Community-Based and Culturally Grounded Management
$5,000 – $10,000
CONFERENCE GATHERING SPACE (1 Opportunity)
Networking is a critical function of the Hawaiʻi Conservation Conference, especially for students and emerging professionals. A gathering space will allow for informal and unplanned meetings and discussions among conference attendees. This room will have a mix of large (10 pax) and small (4 pax) round top tables as well as lauhala mats for gathering on the floor.
NETWORKING BREAKS (8 Opportunities)
Networking breaks provide refreshments (e.g. coffee, tea, light snacks) for these target groups in the morning and during scheduled breaks in the Conference agenda with the intention to bring together aspiring and established leaders. Participants will be encouraged to bring virtual or paper business cards and to organize themselves by track.
SESSION RECORDING (24 Opportunities)
From 2020-2022, the HCC pivoted to a virtual format in response to the pandemic. While we are very excited to be able to gather in-person once again, one of the benefits of the virtual Conference was our ability to preserve video recordings of the presentations. The Alliance Steering Committee regularly identifies content that may be of particular interest to a public audience and, with support, we can record and make freely available selected Conference sessions.
