Special Issue of Pacific Conservation Biology

Pacific Conservation Biology is the official journal of the Society for Conservation Biology Oceania Section. It provides a forum for discussion about conservation problems in the Pacific region; debate about priorities and mechanisms for conservation oriented biological research; and dissemination of the results of relevant research. Papers published in Pacific Conservation Biology are read by conservation scientists, practitioners and students from across the region.

At the 2020 joint Conference being hosted by the Hawaiʻi Conservation Alliance and the Society for Conservation Biology Oceania Section, a special issue titled “Transforming Conservation Biology Through Indigenous Perspectives” will be featured. In this special collection of papers, it will explore the transformative potential of engaging indigenous values and perspectives in the co-generation, co-production and co-application of knowledge, with a focus on conservation biology in the Pacific.
