In partnership with Hau‘oli Mau Loa Foundation’s Environmental Leadership Pathways Initiative, the Hawai’i Conservation Alliance and Foundation (the Alliance & Foundation) is proud to announce the 2020 Hawaiʻi Conservation Conference (HCC) Emerging Professionals Scholarship Program. This registration incentive aims to provide a one-of-a-kind career development opportunity for emerging professionals interested in pursuing a career in a conservation-related field. In the past this opportunity had been in conjunction with the HCC Student Scholarship Program, which has grown to include high school students, undergraduate students, graduate students, and emerging professionals across the Hawaiian Islands.
This year the Alliance & Foundation has reserved 150 scholarship slots for emerging professionals*. Emerging Professional Scholarship recipients will receive a three day registration to HCC which is inclusive of access to all virtual Conference sessions (during and after), the virtual exhibit hall, and Conference materials at a subsidized rate of $15 via a registration discount code. This Emerging Professional Scholarship Application will remain open until Friday August 15th, 2020 11:59 PM HST.
In addition, Emerging Professional Scholarship recipients are eligible to apply for the Pūlama Kuamoʻo Mentorship Program. The intention of this program is to provide an opportunity for emerging professionals from Hawai‘i to meet and network with Hawaiʻi’s established professionals in the conservation research and natural resource management community. For established professionals, it is an opportunity to mentor the next generation of conservationists, managers and educators, along with sharing their journey in this field. Emerging professionals will benefit from one-on-one interaction with respected professionals in their areas of interest. If you are interested in the Pūlama Kuamoʻo Mentorship Program, you must submit this Emerging Professional Scholarship Application by August 11th, 2020 11:59 PM HST.
